As we finally put an end to 2020, let me share with you some of the lessons I picked up over the year. Here are the Top  Five Things I realized in 2020.

1. What you think is important may not exactly be essential.

Think of all the fancy clothes, jewelries and expensive vehicles that have been left unused throughout the pandemic.

2. You need much much less than what you want.

Many of us realized that we didn't need to dine out all the time, that plain water is a good enough drink, and that we didn't need to be painting the town to have a genuinely good time.

3. We need each other. People need people.

Salute to all the medical, security and all the other service frontliners that made things comfortable for a lot of people. A lot of them are people we dismiss and take for granted but they were the ones we needed the most when it counted.

4. It's alright to slow down

We are oftentimes consumed by productivity that we deem it totally unacceptable to slow down and enjoy things. The pandemic gave me a newfound perspective that life in the fast lane may not always be the best life to live.

5. There is always Hope

No matter what happens, there will always be an opportunity to make things better so let's remain hopeful for the future.

Cheers!
