Iks is a Pharmacy graduate from the University of Santo Tomas and has spent two decades as a Marketing Executive in the Pharmaceutical Industry.Starting his career as a medical representative with SmithKline Beecham (now GSK), Iking rose through the ranks culminating in the role of Associate Director / Public Sector Lead for the local subsidiary of the global pharmaceutical giant Merck Sharp and Dohme.
Along the way, he has pursued various management and marketing courses including a Doctorate Program in Business Administration at the De La Salle University in Manila.
In 2014, he joined Construction Powerhouse HILTI as Head of Marketing for the Philippines along with concurrent roles as Mentor for the ASEAN Leadership Talent Advancement Program and ASEAN trainer for the Hilti Marketing Management Course.
He ventured into the appliance industry in 2018 as part of two world-leading brands, establishing its digital business and leading the organization in a critical pivot project during the pandemic.
He has since left his corporate career to pursue his passion of connecting and inspiring people - Publishing a book on Career Advancement, creating The Inspiring Leader social media community and hosting The Inspiring Leader Podcast.
